I came across this clip on the nets and liked it.. Mike Ranquet in some weird webcam interview type thing, laying it down on the topic of Handrails. I think i'm with Mike on this one for sure. what a waste of time and talent
I know that I still snowboard to pretend that I'm skateboarding. It's been proven that snowboarding does best when it still copies a little bit...fools start bringing in the doublegrabs and the wack shit.
b/w
Mike who?
LOL just playing doods comeonsrsly
really though: I agree that it's not worth talking about when a skateboarder could do the same rail. But, when dudes lock into a 50 foot backside lipslide? Comeon, that's sick.
I can't get with the whirlygig shit, but I'm not going to dismiss it altogether...
i got respect for those kids that are jamming those 50ft rails for sure. and i also like that they prefer to ride those than go track out all the delicious powder when it dumps.. still agree tho time and talent is wasted on rails.. but what the world doesn't need is more extreme backcountry pro's.. did any of this make sense?
I dont even need to watch that to tell you what I think...
ReplyDeletehandrails take up exactally .005% of mountain space but they attract 5% of the people.. fine by me..
